The best reseller websites, compared
There's no single best reselling website. The right one depends on what you're selling and how much the fees eat into the margin. Here's what each of the top resale sites is good for and what it costs.

eBay
Best for: Almost anything: electronics, collectibles, parts, media, branded clothing. The biggest buyer pool, and the only one here with auctions.
Final value fee on the total sale; buyers usually pay shipping, which you set.
Poshmark
Best for: Clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories, especially mall and designer brands.
Flat-fee structure that's simple but expensive on mid-price items; buyer pays a prepaid shipping label.
Mercari
Best for: General household items, toys, games, small electronics and casual clothing.
Fees have changed several times in recent years, so check the current schedule.
Depop
Best for: Vintage, streetwear and Y2K fashion for a younger audience.
No selling fee for US sellers, only payment processing, so it's one of the cheapest places to sell clothing.
Facebook Marketplace
Best for: Furniture, appliances and anything bulky or expensive to ship. Local pickup is free.
Shipped orders carry a selling fee; local cash or pickup sales don't.
StockX
Best for: Deadstock sneakers, streetwear, trading cards and collectibles in new condition.
Items are authenticated before the buyer gets them. Fees drop as your seller level rises.
Pick the site after you know the numbers
The same item can be a strong flip on Depop and a thin one on Poshmark purely because of fees. Research an item to see what it actually sells for, then switch marketplaces in the profit calculator to see where you keep the most.
